Believe it or not, sagehens are the mascots of Pitzer College. These birds have a flight speed of 28 mph and a running speed of 2 mph (don't wanna have one chase you). When frightened, sagehens were known to stick their heads in the ground (Never mind, I doubt they'll chase you). For lack of real sagehens (due to extinction), Pitzer houses chickens -- the next best things! These chickens may be fat, but not nearly as much as a sagehen! Imagine!
